31. Stained Glass
Artist: Tammy Partsch
Benefactor: Sponsor Name
Stained glass windows were common in Gothic churches in the Middle Ages. In addition to allowing light to enter the large worship space, artists used the windows as a blank canvas for showing stories from the Bible to an illiterate congregation.
Modern stained glass creations, freed from the need to educate the masses, has moved to pattern and design, and that is what I am replicating here. My choice of rich and warm colors in random placement bring to mind a full and thriving church dedicated to the glory and light of God.
